Service Description

If you feel that you are being held back from reaching your goals by common mental health difficulties like anxiety, depression, stress or low-self esteem then these sessions might be the boost you need to get you on the right track. Together we will work to build your self-knowledge and resilience using techniques based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). We will begin with an initial four-session block, with the option to extend this with another two additional sessions if we feel it will be beneficial. Each session will be an hour long and held at weekly or fortnightly intervals. I am able to offer both face-to-face and Zoom meetings depending on your preference. EXAMPLE PROGRAMME Free 30 minute consultation: Before beginning our sessions you will receive an initial consultation to get to know each other and build a picture of what we will be working on together. Session 1: In this session we explore your current difficulties and set clear and realistic goals. I will introduce you to the principles of CBT to help formulate what is keeping you stuck. Session 2: In-depth explanation of evidence-backed techniques to help you break out of your unhelpful thinking and behavioural habits. Session 3: Review changes and refine techniques. Session 4: Consolidate knowledge and plan for setbacks. Optional 5th and 6th session if you wish to explore areas in more depth or further your practice.
